We are delighted to share a truly exciting opportunity working for one of our most sought-after employers. Our client is known for having a fantastic company culture, delivering exceptional events, and having a reputation for excellence worldwide.

They are seeking a Head of Event Operation to manage one of their biggest and most commercially successful portfolios. These events have stood the test of time and prove to deliver, grow, and improve year-on-year.

You’ll be heading up a team of Operations Managers and Operations Coordinators in the delivery of their allocated events as well planning your own events. The portfolios include large-scale events in US, Africa, and Asia.

We are looking for someone who can:
  • Develop a high-performance culture by championing best practices and professional development.
  • Building a ‘one-team’ ethos for all levels of the operational functions so there is an expansion of career development, succession planning and opportunities across the teams as well as sharing of skills and best practice.
  • Manage and develop direct reports using KPIS to track performance.
  • Recruit and train new members of the team
  • Take responsibility for portfolio event delivery – with end-to-end accountability for operational management of all events.
  • Maximise profitability, sustainability and quality of each event through effective budget management.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of events each year of varying size, format and complexity across a range of geographies.
  • Working with sales team to create packages that are innovative and profitable.
  • Monthly reporting of detailed budgets with the Event Operations Director

We are seeking the following experience:
  • An established and successful track record of delivering international, large scale and complex events and awards, large scale exhibitions and multi-stream conferences globally.
  • Technical experience from floor plan creation, rigging, health and safety and introduction creative flair to networking experiences.
  • Tangible examples of experience in implementing innovation and creativity for large scale international events over 6000+ people, 150+ stands, 120+ meetings, 3+ conference stages
  • Proactive and takes initiative by being able to identify problems, research and evaluate options creatively and innovatively.
  • Confident decision making, thought leadership and a focus to finding solutions and achieving results by taking accountability and ownership of decisions made.
