Working for a charity providing an extensive programme of events for medical professionals,  the Event Venue Sales Administrator will join this busy team based in central London, just behind Oxford Street. The company offers good benefits to staff and a friendly working environment.

 

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

To professionally sell the services and facilities of two prestigious venues, working closely with the event operations team, converting venue sales enquiries into bookings and handling all related administration. This role is perfect for candidates with excellent communication skills, able to build solid working relationships with key stakeholders, with meticulous organization and administrative skills.

 

  • You will be taking a reactive sales approach to showcase the facilities and services offered at the venues.
  • Working with existing clients to develop further business via account penetration.
  • Responding to enquiries, ensuring clients receive full attention, negotiating and discussing their event requirements, terms of business and up-selling where possible.
  • Effective diary management, including follow-ups to maintain excellent relationships with your clients.
  • Working closely with the other departments to ensure smooth running of events on the day and alongside Event Operations Managers when required.

 

Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Experience in a commercial sales environment  
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Exceptional organisation skills with attention to every detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure
  • Degree in event management or 3+ years’ experience in a hotel/conference sales environment
  • Good product knowledge – room lay out possibilities, food, wines etc.
