Innovative, fast-paced and exciting events organisation specialising in Energy and Infrastructure is looking to hire a highly-motivated events marketer, with solid direct and online marketing experience, who combines strong analytical skills with a commitment to creative marketing.

Based in Battersea, South West London, the company operates globally and over the past 18 years, their events have become widely acknowledged within the energy industry for their quality, prestigious level of government officials and senior corporate delegation.

As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for forging relationships with external partners whilst also liaising with other departments within your event teams.

About you:

  • University Graduate - preferably within a marketing/business related subject
  • Minimum two years’ commercial experience working in a direct marketing role, preferably gained within a B2B conference/exhibitions environment
  • Good combination of creative and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiator who thrives under pressure
  • Good time management - capable of meeting tight deadlines
  • Able to juggle multiple projects
  • Enthusiasm, drive & determination
  • Strong team player and orientation towards teamwork
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to trouble-shoot problems, act on your own initiative and think laterally

Key responsibilities include:

  • Create and implement innovative and effective marketing plans
  • Understand, communicate and deliver the event brand to the desired target market 
  • Writing copy for marketing brochures and promotional materials
  • Produce high quality, innovative and tailored marketing materials 
  • Proactively review data, identify potential research areas and source data in order to reach your target audience
  • Build and maintain effective event websites and microsites
  • Working closely with speakers, sponsors and exhibitors to gain their buy in to promote the events
  • Create social media campaigns
  • Communicate and negotiate effectively with suppliers
  • Monitor all marketing responses and complete on-going marketing analysis – during and after events
  • Plan and manage budgets and process invoices
