Energetic events company based in Brighton is looking for an exceptional sales manager to sell  sponsorship and exhibition space across a portfolio of high growth B2B conferences in the cleantech and renewable energy sectors.

Events take place in locations globally (San Francisco, New York, Toronto, London and Singapore). As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for winning new business and managing key account, working with game-changing and innovative start-ups and leading brands such as Google, Coca-Cola, IBM, GE and Intel.

About you:

  • Strong, proven consultative seller with excellent sales figures
  • Minimum 3 years’ B2B sponsorship sales experience
  • Ambitious and financially driven
  • Articulate, intelligent and well presented
  • Ability to build a sales pipeline and provide quantitative reporting to management
  • Experience using sales software such as Salesforce
  • Experience of (and success) selling to non-UK (global) markets
  • Not afraid to use the phone or travel internationally
  • Self-starter/self-reliant – no micro-management here

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the research team to gain a comprehensive understanding of the target audience/prospects for your portfolio of products
  • Work directly with the Marketing team to generate new sales leads
  • Reach daily call KPIs as agreed with management
  • Conduct face-to face meetings with senior management from target market
  • Close sales, hit targets and lead from the front
  • Manage and implement the Sponsorship deliverables onsite
  • Report key performance figures to the management team
  • Help to develop new events and packages
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the industry, help the company expand into new verticals
